The Zimbabwe government led by ED Mnangagwa has clearly demonstrated that it controls the judiciary system so much that government critics are being targeted by the government and brought to court. To make this more painful, the courts have denied to grant them bail on several bail applications and also their representatives of choice being victimised in order to weaken any further bail application.
Jacob Ngarivhume and Hopewell Chin’ono were arrested several weeks ago and still suffer in prison and the court has turned down their bail applications. It clearly shows that journalism is now a crime in Zimbabwe and also demonstrations are not allowed and all these rights have being t*aken away and criminalised.
It is disappointing that the Zimbabwe government has deliberately failed to implement political reforms and opted to take military control over all government system by escalating it’s arrests on anyone who opposes them. Job Sikhala was arrested again for inciting violence ahead of the 31st July planned demonstration and Catholic Bishops are also being criticised by several ministers for saying out the truth about the situation in Zimbabwe.
It is disappointing that the Zimbabwe citizens have no rights at all and life has become unbearable for ordinary citizens.
