Ever since he made himself President, Mnangagwa has plunged Zimbabwe into a 500% tin pot dictatorship. Money is being stolen by his party Zanu at a rate that has never been seen before. Human rights abuses and the persecution of opposition members is happening on a daily basis. In the news we are constantly hearing stories about MDC Alliance members being thrown in jail, abducted or beaten up by the police or Zanu agents.
Looking at this situation from a young person’s perspective, this man and his party are going to leave Zimbabwe in a state of irreparable damage for future generations. The economy, health, employment and public services are in a complete mess. They have destroyed everything in the country, these people. On top of that they have scattered seeds of deceit and corruption across every sector, it’s going to be really difficult to instil a culture of fairness, equality and uprightness. It’s hard to find decent people in all state sectors in Zimbabwe. When people try to access services like passports, birth certificates or pensions, they are met by rude, corrupt and moody government officers who demand to be paid a bribe for doing their job.
So what is the solution?
The solution is very clear, a public uprising! This uprising would remove Mnangagwa, Zanu and all the people working for the state who have facilitated this dictatorship. There is no chance in hell that Zimbabwe would become a functional country where human rights are respected when people like Mnangagwa and his Zanu cohorts are walking freely in the country. They all have to be permanently socially distanced from Zimbabweans. Life in prison at the very least should be their comeuppance.
In conclusion
When you look at Mnangagwa’s time in politics since 1980 he is the man involved in the plotting and sanctioning of violence and killings of innocent citizens. When he is not doing that he was busy stealing taxpayers money in one form or another. Cruelty and corruption are at the centre of Mnangagwa’s political ideology, no wonder Zimbabwe is in a mess. The situation is urgent, Mnangagwa and Zanu pf should go as soon as possible, preferably to prison for the rest of their lives. As MDC members and human rights activist we will continue to raise awareness about the human rights crisis in Zimbabwe until this wretched man Mnangagwa and his people are gone.
