Charles Mararirakwenda – Chairman

I have been the Reading Branch Chairman since its relaunch in October 2018. However, I have been involved in democratic politics for a long time. My main objective in politics is to campaign for the highest quality of democracy whereby:
• there is recognition of the fundamental worth and dignity of all persons

• there is optimum respect of unalienable rights regardless of gender, religion, social status, educational level and political affiliation

• everyone has an equal shot at success.

• there is transparency and accountability in the financial management of all state institutions

• there is zero tolerance of all forms of corruption in all government institutions.

As such, I staunchly campaign against military rule in Zimbabwe and the restoration of democracy of democracy in the country. I will continue to raise awareness about the injustices and human rights abuses which are being carried out by the Zanu government. I will never tire until Zimbabwe becomes a free country, free from political repression and the systematic corruption which has led to total economic ruin and mass poverty

Deborah Harry – Organising Secretary

I have been the Reading Branch Organising Secretary since the relaunch of the Branch. I am a proud political and human rights activist who stands against this Zanu led government and military rule in the country. I blame Mnangagwa, his friends, Zanu of and the military for the damage they have done to people’s lives in Zimbabwe for nearly 40 years due to their cruelty, corruption and violent approach to people who actively campaign for democracy in the country. My message to Mnangagwa and his cabal of crooks and murderers is that “Please Go, Enough is Enough!”. Ini newe tine basa.

Shylette ChipanguraTreasurer

I am an active member of CCC and a human rights campaigner who is passionate about bringing Zimbabwe back to its glory days and issues such as ending politically motivated violence against women and youth empowerment. I have been the Branch Treasurer since its relaunch. I strongly oppose the state corruption that I happening in Zimbabwe at the hands of the Zanu pf party who have been in government for 39 years. I believe time is ticking and we should strike the iron while it’s hot because if we do not do that we may never be able to recover our country from total ruin.

Jarson ChibvupeBranch Secretary

I am a devoted member of CCC and have been the Reading Branch Secretary since it’s relaunch. I am actively involved in raising awareness of the human rights abuses taking place in Zimbabwe which are being carried out by the ruling ZANU PF party. My humble mission is to raise the voice for the voiceless in their fight for freedom of expression. I will continue to express my anti government views until Zimbabwe has free and far elections, freedom of speech and freedom from torturing.

Esther Munyira – Information and Publicity Secretary

I am the Reading branch Secretary for Information and Publicity since May 2020. I strongly believe in in true democracy and freedom of expression and I also advocate for respect of human rights. Zimbabwe is now under the mafia government of Zanu pf and all the democratic space has been shrunk and the judiciary system captured to the extent of criminalising all opposition and human rights activists for speaking out. Zanu pf can not get away with murder and as information and publicity , we will continue to expose the evil regime and let the world know the abductions band injustices happening in Zimbabwe.

I am also passionate human rights defender and support fellow Zimbabweans get back their rights back.

Thabo Makuyana – Vice Information & Publicity Secretary

I am the Reading Branch Vice Secretary for Information and Publicity and have been a member since the branch’s relaunch. I believe in democracy. I am against fascism, military rule and corruption. I believe that radical political changes are needed in order to change the way the country is governed if democracy and functionality are to be realised. This is why I am a strong proponent of regime change in Zimbabwe because the country can never be a functional democracy when zanu pf is still in control.

DUDZAI MUKONDORONGWE
Vice Secretary and Research Officer

Joined CCC Reading Branch in January 2020 . Very passionate and dedicated to see change in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe government has destroyed the country and rampant corruption has brought the country to a halt with no productivity and no health services and this drove me to support a party which is committed to bring about real change in Zimbabwe. As Vice Secretary and Research Officer I am dedicated to dig deep and expose all the dirty games played by Zanu pf and create an awareness to the people of Zimbabwe for real change to come about.

ANNA CHIKOTI Vice Organising Secretary

I have been an active member of CCC Alliance party Reading Branch since January 2019. My main drive for joining politics is to effect real democratic change on the ground in Zimbabwe, like that in most democracies in the world.

One gets a real understanding that I yearn for a democracy like that by great thinkers like Ruth Bater Ginsburg , Kwame Nkuruma, Joshua Nkomo and Martin Luther King where everyone is equal regardless of colour, race, gender or creed. I have been an integral part of the team and my valid opinion is often sought when big decisions are being made. My temperament and eye for detail are extremely a rare combination as such I tend to stay cool whilst under pressure and instead of leading from the front I am one of those who prefer to do plenty of work in the background and let others (for example the executive) take credit.

My almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the most current affairs within the Zimbabwe community has proved extremely reliable to all CCC Reading Branch. I also regularly contribute my time to the Women and Youth assemblies of CCC Reading branch whenever I am needed either for council or for planning in the background. I am often also very willing to serve a branch, by assisting with the catering whenever they are meetings and has in the past been called to give my valid opinion whilst I am also involved in the catering.

ALICE MAJOLA
YOUTH LEADER

I am human rights campaigner with ROHR and Zimbabwe Vigil. I joined CCC because they provide Zimbabwe with the only chance of a government that will respect Human rights. I am saddened and angered by the systematic Human Rights abuses by Mnangagwa and Zanu PF. In the light of this I’m determined to raise awareness about the Zimbabwean crisis to the British government, the British public and the world at large. And I look forward to the day when the Zimbabwean citizens will remove Zanu PF from power and install a democratic government led by the CCC.

CALEB GOMES CCC Alliance Reading Branch

I am a CCC ALLIANCE political activist as well as a human rights campaigner who is passionate about bringing true independence to the people of Zimbabwe. Since Zanu pf came into power in 1980, people of Zimbabwe are being brutalised and tortured and killed for exercising their constitutional rights. CCC Alliance came up with a constitution that will give Zimbabweans true independence hence my desire to be part pf this democratic and people oriented party.

REUBEN GIFT WARETSA CCC Alliance Reading Branch

I am a passionate political and human rights who is driven by the objectives and desire to get rid of the corrupt and dictatorial political leadership of Zanu pf government.

Henry Makobere
HENRY T MAKOBERE – CCC Committee Member

I’m an active member of CCC and a human rights campaigner. I believe in democracy and I enjoy raising awareness of the human rights abuses taking place in Zimbabwe which are being carried out by the ruling party ZANU. hospitals have no doctors and nurses. No medication (even paracetamol), no maternity wards, children are dying of malnutrition and unemployment is at its highest in the world @95%. All this is happening because of endless corruption. Zanu pf has no respect for human rights. Under Zanu pf government, Soldiers and the police have beaten and murdered thousands of citizens for protesting for basic human rights.

Enough is enough!
