MDC ALLIANCE YOUTHS READING BRANCH DONATE MASKS TO SUPPORT ONE MILLION YOUTH CAMPAIGN IN MUTARE.

Reading Youth Leader Alice Majola together with Charles Mararirakwenda, Jason Chibvupe, Deborah Harry and Annah Chikoti raised funds to support Manicaland youths , who are so enthusiastic to carry on with campaigns even in the darkest season of the pandemic. Having seen the passion for youths fighting for a better Zimbabwe, Reading MDCA youths were moved and felt the need to step in to help other youths by providing funds to buy MDCA branded masks for the activists to protect themselves in their campaign and voter awareness to the marginalised rural voters who are the most victims of intimidation by the ruthless, heartless and corrupt Zanu pf government. The youths have taken it upon themselves to take the lead as they hold the future and try to make Zimbabwe a better place by educating rural communities in preparation for 2023 elections. Zanu pf is escalating violence and prosecution of MDCA members and supporters and this has to stop .
The money raised was all used to buy 200 masks which were bought at 70 cents each. These masks were distributed to first time voters by Macmillan in Mutare to areas like Chimanimani, Nyanyadzi, Nhedziwa . This made it safe for the youths to spread the word and campaign more as they had PPE which is a necessity in this Covid 19 era. The campaign was fruitful as most youth gathered on the 16 th November in various areas of Manicaland. Well done Manicaland and Reading Youths, the future is in your hands , together we can pull down brutal Zanu pf government.
